Former Deputy Prime Minister, Kurdistan Regional Government

Mr Sayfour served as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government from 6th April 2009 to 27 October 2009. Previously he held the post of Minister for Housing and Reconstruction from May 2006 until 2009. Born in Khanaqin in 1955, he graduated from the Baghdad Technical Institute in 1980.

Mr Sayfour is a senior member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). In previous cabinets, he was Minister for Industry and later Deputy Prime Minister in the Suleimaniah administration.
